The fact that that excuse for a show and a showrunner have written Clarke into a narrative where she now basically has to beg for the forgiveness of her “friends” and that said forgiveness will be hard to achieve is just… I’d say gross but most of all not surprising

Reinvent? Hes been reusing the same plot and character arcs for 3
seasons now, and never really advancing or developing off them. Hes
been “rebooting” his reboots with a heavy side order of stealing from other popular movies/tv shows because he doesnt have a creative
bone or original thought in his body, lmao.
Hes been relying on the logic blinding emotionally fueled nostalgia of “faithful” viewers who are now
attached to the nonsensical journey’s of these characters because theyre
familiar faces more than anything, the majority of them being glorified
extras. Changing the background every now and again does not make the
same retelling of his same ole nihilistic story any more original or
mind blowing than the last season he tried the same tactic. Hes become a more simple minded version of TWD, overusing formulas for soap opera level “drama” and just shamefully milking a dying or all rdy dead cow. Making the
same character go through the same character
arcs and the same traumas (how many times have we mass murdered 300
people for shallow parallels now?) they did in a previous season does
not make them believable; makes them slow fucking learners, hypocrites,
and basically the biggest fucking idiots in the galaxy that should be
bringing about our extinction NOT our survival. Like how many extreme character 180s has bellshit and clarke gone through in the past five seasons to push a bland repetitive plot?
Also, always rewarding your male fave at the expense of the female
characters
is not respectful – seriously the double standards in the writing is
getting old fast in how this show treats female mains compared to male
ones when shit hits the fan. Its mind numbingly repetitive, frustratingly shallow, pathetic, and
ultimately boring – and at its “be||arke shit” core a
huge misogynistic waste of time.
